the Vagina Monologues for V-Day 2012

Pan Theater's benefit performance of the Vagina Monologues was a huge success. 

The opening night was a sellout show. The performers were top notch and the evening included storytelling, drama and laughs.

The brilliance of the monologues and the run list created a night not to be forgotten. The night concluded with a standing ovation for the cast and directors. 

The show itself was a benefit show for Oakland's Elizabeth House. The proceeds from the show go to Oakland's Elizabeth House and to the V-Day organization.

The production was Pan's second scripted production in six months and it coincides with Pan Theater's tenth anniversary of bringing live theater to Oakland with comedy shows, improv shows and theatre shows.

While Pan isn't the Fox or Paramount we are definitely making a name as an Oakland theater capable of staging innovative, groundbreaking and exciting theater projects. 

Pan performers come from the local community including: Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco and other parts of the East Bay and the larger Bay Area.

It is a pleasure to make live theater available and affordable in Oakland. Pan is in Oakland's bustling Uptown area.

Stay tuned for more exciting Oakland shows including improv, comedy and scripted live theater. For 2012 we are planning Anything Can Happen in 2012 - Oakland' second annual ten minute play festival, Home - an original Pan Theater scripted work (name still in progress), and several other projects. 

These are our of course in addition to our weekly improv shows featuring Awkward Face, Liquid Mind and our short and long form training troupes.

We hope to earn many more standing ovations.
