About Shaun
Shaun Landry is an internationally renowned improviser, actor, and master educator whose legendary career spans more than three decades at the absolute forefront of unscripted theater.
If you want to learn from someone who has shared the stage and screen with the greatest minds in comedy and cinema, Shaun is the definitive authority.
She famously shared the stage to improvise with Robin Williams and Woody Harrelson, co-starred alongside Sean Penn in the Oscar-winning film Milk, and appeared opposite Danny Glover in Read You Like a Book.
A true pioneer, Shaun was hired into the prestigious Second City Chicago National Touring Company in the 1990s before founding Oui Be Negroes—the historic, original African American Impro/Sketch Comedy Theatre Company in the United States.
She is also the co-founder of the San Francisco Improv Festival, founder of the West Coast Improv Alliance, and half of the celebrated Los Angeles comedy duo Landry & Summers.
Her deep pedagogical expertise has made her a sought-after guest instructor at elite institutions like Stanford University and Northwestern University, as well as a headliner on the global festival circuit from Chicago and New York to Amsterdam, Seoul, and Tokyo.
Shaun has spent her life breaking barriers, commanding stages, and mastering the craft. Now, she is ready to open up her playbook and share exactly what is in her head to help you master the art of the monologue.

About Hans
Hans Summers has been performing theatre since 1975. He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Broadcasting and Psychology. He has performed in numerous theatrical productions (From The Man Who Came to Dinner to Emperor Norton)
Hans found Improvisational theatre through a recommendation of Joel Murray (aka "Bill Murrays little brother') to talk to Joyce Sloan who in turn sent him to Josephine Forsberg. He trained at The Second City Chicago and was in the Children's Company with the show Swashbucklers and The Gems of Chaos.
His over forty-year journey doing improvisation starting with his own ensemble Fooglewoogle , The Underground Theatre Conspiracy led to meeting his wife Shaun Landry in 1986 and creating the almost all African American Sketch Comedy and improv ensemble Oui Be Negroes.
He has been performing with Shaun ever since 1986. Married in 1991 and became the duo ensemble Landry & Summers since 1992.
